Features

Each rubber expanding adapter stem is designed for a range of tube/pipe fitting diameters.  Components fit on 1/2-13 x 2-1/2" threaded stems or longer.  The adapter kit is comprised of 4 components:

• Bottom washer
• Plastic support spacer
• Rubber expander
• Metal fastener

HOW TO CHOOSE: The tubing's Inner Diameter (I.D.) must be within the Expandable Range, closer to the lowest measurement.  Install adapter kit on caster stem, then fully insert the rubber expandable adapter into equipment tubing.  Turn the lower nut (under the raceway), or hand-turn the raceway clockwise (use wrench for hex raceways). When twisting, the metal fastener tightens down on the rubber and causes it to expand against the tubing walls.  The expanding rubber adapter should be tightened to a degree that the connection is very strong and there is no possibility for the caster detaching.

SQUARE TUBING?  Although rubber expanding adapters are round, they may be used in square tubing.  In many cases, it is necessary to select the next size larger and/or considerable expansion of the rubber piece to securely fasten the caster in the square tube.
