This heavy duty caster brake locks the wheel only, not the swivel raceway.  Face contact brakes come assembled as a 1-piece caster brake that wraps around the caster yoke / fork legs, and is secured with assembly of the axle and wheel.  Side locking screws hold the face contact brake in proper position parallel to the floor.  Locking function performed by making direct contact with the caster wheel tread.  Made from all high gauge, zinc plated steel that includes a thermoplastic rubber contact brake pad.  Designed for ergonomic foot-operation that secures VERY HEAVY loads.  The brake is compatible with 99% of wheel types.
