WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?
DuraStar was approached to solve a unique problem. We were asked to custom design a caster to be used on airport luggage carts that would traverse different heights and cross over expanses in one of the busiest airports in the world.
WHAT DO WE PROVIDE?
Our solution was a 4-wheel caster utilizing three different sizes of our Duratek High Tech Rubber Wheel. This wheel is made for applications where a strong lightweight, smooth rolling and quiet product are paramount. Because of the elastic wheel tread, the wheel is not only strong to resist abrasion but also reduces the force needed for movement. The sealed kingpinless raceway design insured a tough and dependable caster that carried a 5 year warranty.
